FAI Under-17 Inter-Provinicial Tournament

 

This weekend, County Wexford plays host to the cream of Under-17 talent from around the country as the FAI roll into town for their Inter-Provincial Tournament.  Trials have been ongoing around the country as the four managers whittled their way down to their final 20 man squad.  Quite a number of players from the Under-19 clubs will be lining out in the tournament and we will have the full squad lists here when they are released.

UPDATE 1: The tournament was thrown into disarray on Matchday 1 as the game between Connacht and Ulster was postponed due to floodlight failure at Gorey Celtic FC.  That match was re-fixed for Saturday morning at 10.00 in the same venue.  The match has been curtailed and will be played on a 30 minutes each way basis.  This led to Saturday's original fixtures being bumped to later in the day. 

UPDATE 2: The re-fixed match from Friday night ended up in a 4-1 victory for Connacht.  Saturdays original fixtures were bumped to 4.00pm from their original 1.30 and 3.30 kick-off times, meaning that both Connacht and Ulster must play twice on Saturday.
